Use the Hierarchy

Use Hierarchy to find, select, and organize every object in the scene.

Before you start

  • Enter Edit mode.

Follow these steps

  1. Open the Hierarchy panel.
  2. Scan the object names and types.
  3. Select an item to highlight it in the scene.
  4. Rename unclear objects in the inspector.
  5. Use multi-selection when several objects need the same action.
  6. Delete only after confirming the selected hierarchy row.
  7. Keep related object names consistent.

Check that it worked

  • The selected row and scene object match.
  • Renamed objects are easier to find the next time the scene opens.

Useful tips and common mistakes

  • Hierarchy is the safest way to select hidden, tiny, or overlapping objects.
  • Name structural groups by area, such as Lobby Wall North.
