Communication overview

VIRTUX includes text chat, voice chat, and a live player list. Availability depends on scene settings, permissions, and whether you are signed in.

Text chat

  • Open chat to read recent messages.
  • Global messages are visible to everyone in the scene.
  • Local messages are intended for nearby people.
  • Whispers are private messages to one selected player.
  • Filter the panel by All, Global, Local, or Whisper.
  • Anonymous visitors may be able to read but not send or load history.

Voice chat

  • Select the microphone button and allow browser microphone access.
  • The microphone button turns voice transmission on or off.
  • Noise cancellation can reduce steady background noise.
  • Spatial voice changes with distance; global voice is heard throughout the scene.
  • Use a player's volume slider to change how loudly you hear that person.

Player list and host

  • The player button shows everyone currently connected.
  • Badges show host, speaking, frozen, force-muted, and voice-mode states.
  • The host coordinates the live session. If the host leaves, another eligible participant may become host.
