Add a basic object
Add a cube, sphere, cylinder, or building piece to a scene.
Before you start
- Enter Edit mode with permission to add objects.
Follow these steps
- Choose Add or press A.
- Under Primitives, choose Cube, Sphere, or Cylinder, or choose Building piece.
- Find the new object in the scene and Hierarchy.
- Select it.
- Use Move to position it.
- Use Rotate and Scale as needed.
- Rename it in the inspector.
- Save the scene.

Check that it worked
- The object appears in Hierarchy.
- Its transform and name persist after saving.
Useful tips and common mistakes
- Use primitives for quick blocking and testing.
- Choose descriptive names such as Reception Desk instead of Cube 14.
