Use text chat
Send messages to everyone, nearby visitors, or one specific person.
Before you start
- Sign in if you need to send messages.
- Enter a multiplayer scene.
Follow these steps
- Open the chat panel.
- Choose Global to speak to the whole scene.
- Choose Local to speak to nearby visitors.
- To whisper, choose a player as the private recipient.
- Type your message in the message field.
- Choose Send.
- Use All, Global, Local, or Whisper filters to review messages.
- Close the panel when finished.

Check that it worked
- Your message appears in the selected channel.
- Whispers identify the private recipient.
- The unread badge clears after opening chat.
Useful tips and common mistakes
- Anonymous visitors may have read-only chat.
- Local messages only reach people within the scene's local chat area.
- A moderator may remove messages or mute your chat access.
