Editor overview

Edit mode lets permitted users build and arrange a scene together. It uses a toolbar, hierarchy, asset panel, and property inspector.

Enter and leave Edit mode

  1. Enter a scene you own or can edit.
  2. Choose Edit. The editor panels and toolbar appear.
  3. Make your changes and use Save or Ctrl+S.
  4. Choose Exit Edit to return to visit mode.

Select and transform

  • Select chooses one or more objects.
  • Move changes position, Rotate changes direction, and Scale changes size.
  • Use colored handles or the numeric Transform fields.
  • Focus frames the selected object.
  • Duplicate creates a copy; Delete removes the selection.
  • Undo and Redo reverse or reapply recent actions.

Hierarchy and inspector

  • Hierarchy lists objects and helps select items that are difficult to click.
  • General controls the object name and common behavior.
  • Transform controls position, rotation, scale, and pivot.
  • Physics controls collision, gravity, mass, friction, bounce, and triggers.
  • Seats creates and adjusts places where visitors can sit.
  • Media contains controls specific to the selected media type.

Scene-wide tools

  • Scene settings changes the name, description, link, spawn behavior, display, VR teleport, and emotes.
  • Environment changes the sky or panoramic background.
  • Version history restores an earlier saved version.
  • Collaborator indicators show who else is editing.
Good to know: Save before major changes so you have a clear version to restore.
