Moderate a player

Respond to a live player issue using the least disruptive action.

Before you start

  • Have the relevant moderation permission.
  • Enter the scene.

Follow these steps

  1. Open the player list.
  2. Find the affected player and confirm their name.
  3. Use local volume if only you need to hear them more quietly.
  4. Use Mute or Force mute when voice behavior must be controlled.
  5. Use Freeze when movement must stop temporarily.
  6. Use Go to player when you need to inspect their location.
  7. Change spatial or global voice only when the session requires it.
  8. Remove the action when the issue is resolved.

Check that it worked

  • The player's badges show active moderation states.
  • Freeze, mute, and voice-mode changes take effect in the live scene.

Useful tips and common mistakes

  • Local volume is private and is not a moderation action.
  • Explain temporary actions to the player when appropriate.
  • Use kick or ban only when lighter actions are insufficient.
