Build a simple structure
Build a simple enclosed room using floors, walls, a doorway, and a roof.
Before you start
- Understand the basic Build mode controls.
Follow these steps
- Enter Build mode and choose a floor piece.
- Place enough floor tiles for the room footprint.
- Choose a wall piece and place walls around the edge.
- Rotate each wall with R before placement when necessary.
- Leave an opening or choose a doorway piece.
- Add stairs if the entrance or floor level requires them.
- Add roof pieces after checking wall alignment.
- Exit Build mode and walk through the structure.

Check that it worked
- The floor has no gaps.
- Walls face the correct direction and do not block the doorway.
- A visitor can enter, move around, and leave the room.
Useful tips and common mistakes
- Build from the floor upward.
- Test visitor scale early instead of finishing a room with doors that are too small.
- Use Undo rather than stacking replacement pieces over mistakes.
