Build a simple structure

Build a simple enclosed room using floors, walls, a doorway, and a roof.

Before you start

  • Understand the basic Build mode controls.

Follow these steps

  1. Enter Build mode and choose a floor piece.
  2. Place enough floor tiles for the room footprint.
  3. Choose a wall piece and place walls around the edge.
  4. Rotate each wall with R before placement when necessary.
  5. Leave an opening or choose a doorway piece.
  6. Add stairs if the entrance or floor level requires them.
  7. Add roof pieces after checking wall alignment.
  8. Exit Build mode and walk through the structure.

Check that it worked

  • The floor has no gaps.
  • Walls face the correct direction and do not block the doorway.
  • A visitor can enter, move around, and leave the room.

Useful tips and common mistakes

  • Build from the floor upward.
  • Test visitor scale early instead of finishing a room with doors that are too small.
  • Use Undo rather than stacking replacement pieces over mistakes.
