Select objects
Select one or several scene objects so you can edit their properties.
Before you start
- Enter Edit mode.
Follow these steps
- Choose the Select tool or press V.
- Click an object in the 3D scene.
- If the object is difficult to click, find and select it in Hierarchy.
- Hold the supported multi-select modifier and select additional objects.
- Check the selection highlight and inspector heading.
- Click empty space to clear the selection.

Check that it worked
- Selected objects show the scene's selection outline.
- The inspector displays the selected object's name and tabs.
- Multi-selection indicates how many objects are selected.
Useful tips and common mistakes
- Rename objects clearly so they are easy to find in Hierarchy.
- If one object is hidden behind another, use Hierarchy instead of repeatedly clicking the scene.
