Save and restore versions
Save the current scene and restore an earlier saved state when needed.
Before you start
- Own the scene or have save permission.
- Version history may require an eligible plan and permission.
Follow these steps
- In Edit mode, choose Save or press Ctrl+S.
- Wait for the saving state to finish.
- Open Version history from the editor toolbar.
- Review version numbers and save times.
- Find the earlier version you want.
- Choose Restore beside that version.
- Confirm the scene has returned to the expected state.
- Save again if you make additional changes.

Check that it worked
- A new current version appears after saving or restoring.
- Connected collaborators see the restored scene.
- The previously current state remains available as history.
Useful tips and common mistakes
- Save before large edits so the starting point is easy to identify.
- Restoring is scene-wide, so coordinate with active collaborators first.
