Permissions overview

Scene access decides who may enter. Permissions decide what each person may do after entering. Owners always keep full control of their own scenes.

Share a scene

  • Public scenes can be discovered in Explore.
  • Link scenes are opened by anyone who has the link or code.
  • Invite scenes are limited to approved email addresses.
  • Private scenes remain owner-only until access changes.
  • Copy the current link from Scene settings or scene management.

Grant permissions

  1. Open the scene's player or moderation controls.
  2. Choose the person whose access you want to change.
  3. Start from a suitable template such as Moderator, Editor, Presenter, Participant, or Spectator.
  4. Turn individual abilities on or off.
  5. Save the permission changes.

What permissions control

  • Editing, saving, versions, settings, publishing, and deleting.
  • Adding, uploading, moving, or deleting objects.
  • Using media, skyboxes, emotes, and private rooms.
  • Chat, voice, broadcast, and social actions.
  • Muting, freezing, teleporting, kicking, banning, and other moderation.
  • Viewing logs, sessions, and analytics.
Good to know: Grant the minimum access needed for each person's task.
