Move and control the camera

Move around a scene and choose the camera view that feels most comfortable.

Before you start

  • Enter a scene in visit mode.
  • Click the 3D view to activate mouse look on desktop.

Follow these steps

  1. Press W to move forward and S to move backward.
  2. Press A and D to move left and right.
  3. Move the mouse to look around.
  4. Hold Shift while moving to run.
  5. Press Space to jump.
  6. Press C or choose FP/TPS to switch camera view.
  7. Press Esc when you want to release the mouse pointer.

Check that it worked

  • Your avatar moves in the direction of the camera.
  • FP shows a first-person view; TPS shows your avatar.
  • The pointer becomes available again after Esc.

Useful tips and common mistakes

  • Use TPS when checking avatar position near objects.
  • Lower Quality if camera movement is uneven.
  • Mobile and VR use the device-specific controls described in their tutorials.
